Eliyan Raises $145 Million in Series C Funding
Eliyan, a Santa Clara-based startup specializing in chip interconnect technology, has announced the successful closure of a $145 million Series C funding round as of July 29, 2026. The round was led by Seligman Ventures, with additional investments from Cisco Investments and Lumentum.
Eliyan focuses on enhancing connectivity in AI chip clusters by providing solutions that offer high compute performance and yield without the complexities of advanced packaging. Their technology addresses the increasing demands for bandwidth and power efficiency in data centers, especially as AI workloads become more sophisticated.
Addressing AI Infrastructure Challenges
The rapid evolution of AI applications requires data centers to scale up their chip clusters significantly. However, this growth has led to bottlenecks in power and bandwidth, causing delays in AI training and inference workloads. Eliyan's innovative electro-optical interconnects aim to solve these issues by ensuring seamless communication across compute, memory, and networking components.
Eliyan's product line, including NuLink PHYs and NuGear chiplets, enhances die-to-die, chip-to-chip, and rack-to-rack connectivity. This technology supports a wide range of AI infrastructure needs, allowing data centers to maintain high performance without a corresponding increase in power consumption.
Syrus Ziai, Co-Founder and VP of Engineering, noted, "Our solutions enable data centers to maximize their compute capabilities while managing energy requirements more effectively."
Leadership and Vision
Eliyan was founded by Ramin Farjadrad, who serves as CEO, alongside Syrus Ziai and Patrick Soheili. The leadership team brings a wealth of experience in engineering and technology development, driving the company's mission to revolutionize AI chip connectivity.
CEO Ramin Farjadrad remarked, "This funding round marks a significant milestone for Eliyan. We're excited to continue our work in overcoming the connectivity challenges that data centers face today."
Use of Funds
While the company has not disclosed specific plans for the newly secured funds, the investment will likely be directed towards further product development and expanding Eliyan's market presence to meet the growing demand for efficient AI infrastructure solutions.
As Eliyan continues to innovate in the field of chip interconnects, the company is well-positioned to play a crucial role in the ongoing evolution of AI technologies, ensuring that data centers can support increasingly powerful AI applications efficiently.
