DYAD Raises $10 Million in Series A Funding

DYAD, a company specializing in transforming unstructured clinical data into actionable insights through its AI platform, has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Sangha Capital, with additional contributions from investors Bill Tai and Carbide Ventures.

Company Overview

Based in London, DYAD is focused on improving the quality, compliance, and reimbursement processes in healthcare while reducing administrative burdens for payers, providers, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). The company uses its proprietary AI, GENIE, to convert unstructured clinical documents into structured data, streamlining healthcare administration.

Use of Funds

The newly acquired funds will be used to accelerate the rollout of DYAD's technology across the UK, particularly within the National Health Service (NHS). The company also plans to extend its proprietary AI technology into secondary care and mental health services, both domestically and internationally. Currently, DYAD's BetterLetter platform is utilized by over 200 GP surgeries, processing more than five million clinical documents.

Leadership and Vision

Co-founded by Dr. Steven Hamblin, DYAD aims to tackle one of healthcare's most persistent challenges: the management of longform unstructured data. Dr. Hamblin noted that the investment will allow DYAD to "accelerate growth and take our technology into other parts of healthcare."

Future Plans

The funding will enable DYAD to enhance its service offerings further, ensuring that its platform continues to learn from real-world interactions and effectively integrates into existing healthcare workflows. The company is poised to address inefficiencies in clinical coding and administration, ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency across healthcare systems.
