Donecle Raises €10 Million for Expansion
Toulouse-based Donecle, a leader in automated aircraft inspections using drones, has successfully secured €10 million in funding. This latest investment round is co-led by IRDI Capital Investissement and SWEN Capital Partners, with additional participation from GSO Innovation and ARIS Occitanie.
About Donecle
Founded in 2015, Donecle specializes in using autonomous drones combined with image analysis algorithms to perform aircraft inspections. This technology significantly speeds up maintenance processes for airlines and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) organizations, enhancing safety and reliability. The drones can detect various issues such as defects, lightning strikes, paint wear, and placard conditions.
Leadership Team
The company was founded by Matthieu Claybrough, who serves as CEO, along with co-founders Alban Deruaz-Pepin, Josselin Bequet, and Yann Bruner. Under their leadership, Donecle has expanded its operations significantly, with their solutions now deployed in over 15 countries and used by more than 40 operational drones.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be used to accelerate Donecle’s international expansion, particularly focusing on markets in Europe and the United States. This move aims to enhance global reach and adoption of its innovative drone inspection technology.
Adoption and Impact
Donecle’s technology is already approved by major aviation authorities and adopted by industry leaders. The company is also developing a software platform to transform collected data into actionable insights, which will integrate with existing MRO systems to support predictive maintenance and improve long-term asset management.
By advancing its technology and expanding its market presence, Donecle continues to position itself as a key player in the aviation inspection sector, offering faster, safer, and more reliable maintenance solutions.
