DocPharma Raises $2 Million to Enhance Healthcare Supply Chain
[Bangalore, India] - DocPharma, a prescription-compliant quick commerce supply chain platform for the healthcare industry, has successfully raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Equentis, with participation from existing investor 100Unicorns, as well as Vinners and a consortium of strategic angel investors.
Company Overview
DocPharma operates as an infrastructure layer that integrates with various healthcare platforms. Unlike traditional e-pharmacies that sell directly to consumers, DocPharma supports e-pharmacies, health insurers, corporate wellness providers, hospitals, wellness and nutraceutical brands, and pet care businesses by offering a rapid delivery service. The company's core product, DocPharma One, is a software platform that combines warehouse management, inventory tracking, order management, and fulfillment, enabling partners to deliver medications within 30 minutes.
Leadership Team
The company is led by co-founders Sagar Chauhan, who serves as the Chief Product and Technology Officer, Saquib Ali, the Chief Business Officer, and Shashank Rai, the Chief Executive Officer. Rai commented on the company's mission: "Quick commerce trained Indian customers to expect anything in minutes, except the one category that matters most when they actually need it, medicine."
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing DocPharma's supply chain capabilities and expanding its network of licensed dark stores. This expansion is aimed at improving the speed and efficiency of its prescription-compliant fulfillment process, thereby supporting a wider range of healthcare partners.
By leveraging this investment, DocPharma aims to address the challenges faced by pharmacies in stocking a vast array of products, ensuring that customers receive the medications they need promptly and efficiently.
