About Crowwd
Based in London, England, Crowwd positions itself as a "personal CIO" for Indian investors. The platform operates by assessing users with six targeted questions to determine their unique investment profile, or "Hive," and then builds a comprehensive portfolio tailored to their financial behaviors and goals. As an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor, Crowwd offers a range of services including mutual fund distribution and access to private market investment opportunities.
Strategic Use of Funds
Ajitesh Gupta, CEO of Crowwd, explained that the newly acquired funds will be pivotal in transitioning the platform from a social investor community to a fully-fledged wealth-tech service. "We have built the community and the behavioral framework; the next step is putting investment access behind it," Gupta stated. The focus will be on developing technology and capabilities to enhance mutual fund distribution and integrate additional investment services.
Investor Insights
Dr. Ritesh Malik, the lead investor, expressed confidence in the potential of Crowwd to address emerging needs in India's investment landscape. According to Malik, the challenge is no longer just about access, but about creating products and experiences that align with the evolving expectations of investors.
With this fresh infusion of capital, Crowwd is poised to further develop its platform and expand its offerings, thereby enhancing the personalized investment experience it provides to its users.
