Cori Clinical Raises $4 Million in Seed Funding
Cori Clinical, a London-based startup specializing in AI technology for clinical trials, has announced the successful closure of a $4 million Seed funding round on October 7, 2026. The round was led by Breega, with additional investments from Enzo, Heartfelt, Together Ventures, and Bynd.
Streamlining Clinical Trials with AI
Cori Clinical provides a comprehensive platform that assists Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and sponsors in streamlining the clinical trial process. The company's technology integrates trial design, documentation, and cost management into a single workspace, facilitating more informed decision-making and reducing delays in trial initiation.
Strategic Use of Funds
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards several key areas. Cori Clinical plans to expand its team and increase its delivery capacity, ensuring that their platform can support a growing number of trials. Additionally, the company aims to enhance the regulatory and clinical intelligence capabilities of its platform, further optimizing the clinical trial process.
Leadership and Vision
Patricio Fernandez Weisson, CTO and Co-Founder, plays a pivotal role in the company's technological advancements. The leadership team has also been strengthened with the recent appointment of Dr. Emma Ogburn as Chief Clinical Officer, who brings valuable experience from her previous role at Lindus Health.
Cori Clinical's CEO, Jorn Jansen Schoonhoven, emphasized the importance of consolidating trial-related intelligence: "Clinical trials are built through a series of interconnected decisions about how a study should be designed and run. Today, much of the knowledge and precedent behind those decisions is scattered across previous trials, siloed teams, internal systems and separate documents. Cori brings that intelligence together into a living blueprint, so teams can make better-informed decisions before avoidable problems become delays, so the science never waits on the process."
Looking Ahead
With this latest funding round, Cori Clinical is well-positioned to enhance its platform and further its mission of accelerating the clinical trial process through innovative technology.
