Conntour Raises $7 Million in Seed Funding

Conntour, a Miami-based AI video intelligence platform, announced a successful seed funding round on March 27, 2026, securing $7 million. The funding round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Y Combinator, SV Angel, and Liquid 2 Ventures.

AI-Driven Video Intelligence

Co-founded by Matan Goldner, who serves as CEO, and Tomer Kulla, the CTO, Conntour has developed a sophisticated platform that leverages AI to enhance video surveillance capabilities. The platform allows security teams to perform natural language searches on video feeds, bypassing the constraints of predefined categories or rules. This capability enables the identification of specific physical attributes, objects, or behaviors, both in real-time and archived footage.

Goldner explained the advantage of their approach: "Traditional video surveillance forces operators to define exactly what they’re looking for before they even know what they need to find. Our platform brings search-engine-level intelligence to any camera network, so security teams can respond to threats as they unfold and investigate incidents in minutes rather than days."

How Conntour Works

Conntour's platform operates entirely on-premises and is compatible with any camera infrastructure, regardless of scale. By utilizing proprietary computer vision technology, it interprets complex, real-world scenarios, facilitating both immediate threat detection and rapid forensic investigations.

Benefits Over Traditional Systems

The platform addresses the limitations of traditional video analytics systems, which often rely on predefined rules that can result in missed events and high false alarm rates. Conntour's system aims to reduce manual video review time by up to 90%, decrease missed events by up to 80%, and lower false alarm rates by up to 70%.

Strategic Use of Funds

While specific plans for the $7 million raised were not detailed in the announcement, such funding typically supports product development, scaling operations, and expanding market reach. Given Conntour's deployment in Singapore’s homeland security operations and its participation in Palantir’s Startup Fellowship, the company is likely to use these resources to further enhance its platform and broaden its customer base.

Conntour’s innovative approach and strong backing from prominent investors position it well to make significant strides in the AI video intelligence sector.
