Biorsaf Secures €5.2 Million in Latest Funding Round
Biorsaf, a food technology firm based in Castell’azzara, Grosseto, Italy, has successfully raised €5.2 million in an undisclosed funding round. The round was led by P101 SGR, with additional participation from Maia Ventures, Farming Future, and Toscana Next. This funding will support Biorsaf's expansion efforts and the development of its AI-powered food compliance solutions.
Acquisition of Cooki
In a strategic move to enhance its service offerings, Biorsaf has also acquired Cooki, a Bologna-based platform specializing in digital food information management. This acquisition aims to integrate Cooki’s capabilities into Biorsaf’s platform, creating a comprehensive solution for food safety, quality, traceability, nutrition, cost analysis, and product labeling.
Enhanced Food Compliance Solutions
The newly acquired capabilities from Cooki will allow Biorsaf to offer Italy’s first single platform covering the entire spectrum of food compliance and data management. This includes areas such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), quality control, and nutritional information.
