Betterplan Expands Horizons with New Funding
Betterplan, a Chilean fintech specializing in wealth management, has secured $1.1 million in an undisclosed funding round. This round was led by the Anastassiou family office, with participation from existing investor Fondo Vulcano. The company offers financial advisory services with a focus on minimizing conflicts of interest and providing access to global funds at low commissions.
Strategic Expansion into Argentina
The newly acquired funds will be used to facilitate Betterplan's expansion into Argentina. The move is expected to occur in the latter half of 2026, targeting investors who are in search of independent wealth management solutions. This expansion is part of Betterplan's broader strategy to tap into new markets and grow its client base.
Leadership and Vision
Betterplan was co-founded by Jose Tomas Valente, who serves as CEO, and Joaquin Rhodius. Under their leadership, the company has shifted its focus from retail investors to those with larger portfolios, requiring a minimum investment of approximately 100 million Chilean pesos.
Current Operations and Future Goals
Currently, Betterplan manages around $150 million in assets for approximately 2,000 clients, a growth from $120 million at the close of 2025. The company operates with a team of 18 employees and aims to double its assets under management by the end of 2026.
Location
Betterplan's headquarters is situated in Las Condes, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile.
As Betterplan steps into the Argentine market, it seeks to leverage its expertise in conflict-free financial advice and low-cost access to global funds to attract a new segment of investors.
