Visa Processing Platform Atlys Secures $36 Million in Series C Funding

Atlys, a New Delhi-based startup offering a digital platform that simplifies visa applications, has raised $36 million in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital, Long Journey Ventures, and Peak XV Partners. New investor MakeMyTrip also joined the round.

Company Overview

Founded in 2021 by CEO Mohak Nahta and Shovan Nag, Atlys provides a digital service that helps travelers obtain visas efficiently and reliably. The platform covers over 120 destinations, ensuring users can navigate the often complex visa application process with ease.

Expansion Plans

The newly secured funds will be directed towards global expansion and enhancing the company's artificial intelligence capabilities. Atlys plans to integrate AI into various stages of the visa process, such as document verification, eligibility checks, and providing real-time support to travelers.

"We are currently on a 700,000 annual visa run rate, and as rising incomes drive a surge in global travel and cross-border experiences, the scale of the opportunity ahead is significant," said CEO Mohak Nahta. "Our mission at Atlys is simple: remove the barriers that prevent people from exploring the world. Passport strength should never determine someone’s ability to travel."

Market Presence

Since its inception, Atlys has processed nearly 450,000 visas and has expanded its presence to key markets, including the UAE, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. These regions now contribute to nearly half of the company's business.

Lead Investor

Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, the lead investor in this funding round, is optimistic about Atlys's potential to modernize the visa application process. The company aims to leverage innovative technologies to streamline and enhance the customer experience in international travel.

Future Prospects

With this latest funding, Atlys is set to accelerate its growth trajectory, tapping into new international markets and further refining its AI-driven visa processing capabilities. As global travel continues to rebound, the company is well-positioned to address the increasing demand for efficient visa services.
