ArmorCode Secures $16 Million in Strategic Funding
ArmorCode, based in Palo Alto, California, has announced a $16 million strategic funding round. The company, which specializes in helping security teams manage and remediate vulnerabilities more efficiently through its Unified Exposure Management Platform, aims to accelerate its growth and enhance its AI security governance capabilities.
Investment Details
The funding round was led by Cheyenne Ventures, with participation from several other investors, including Ballistic Ventures, Highland Capital, Sierra Ventures, NGP Capital, Harmonic Growth Partners, Tau Ventures, and Cervin. This injection of capital brings ArmorCode's total funding to date to $81 million.
Strategic Use of Funds
ArmorCode plans to utilize the new funds to enhance its AI Exposure Management capabilities and innovate its application security posture management solutions. The company also intends to expand its global sales and partner ecosystem, focusing on scaling its enterprise customer success organization.
The company noted a growing demand from Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies for AI security governance and lifecycle management solutions. As enterprises rapidly adopt AI technologies, ArmorCode aims to provide comprehensive risk management tools across applications, cloud, infrastructure, and AI systems.
Leadership and Board Expansion
In conjunction with the funding announcement, ArmorCode has appointed Phil Venables to its board of directors. Venables is a notable cybersecurity figure, having served as the Chief Information Security Officer at both Goldman Sachs and Google Cloud. His expertise is expected to bolster ArmorCode's leadership as it navigates the complexities of AI-driven security challenges.
