Alienkind Raises $3.2 Million to Expand Sci-Fi Café Chain

The funding round was led by Prakash Sikaria, alongside notable investors Ravi Iyer and Arpan Sheth. Sikaria, who is the founder of Super.money, played a key role in this round of financing. Ravi Iyer, a senior vice-president at Flipkart, and Arpan Sheth, the global innovation head at Bain & Company, also participated in the round.

Company Background

Founded in 2024 by Vikram Kakkireni and Abhishek Kumar, Alienkind has carved out a niche in the quick-service restaurant sector. The company targets Gen Z and young urban consumers by offering cold-pressed juices, functional wellness drinks, layered fruit beverages, and a variety of burgers and sandwiches, including their signature Starship burgers. The stores are designed with a minimalist, sci-fi-inspired aesthetic and focus on creating immersive retail spaces.

Expansion Plans

Alienkind currently operates eight outlets in India, with five located in Bengaluru and three in Delhi. The new capital will be used to support the company's goal of expanding to 100 stores across major Indian cities by the end of the fiscal year 2028. This expansion is part of Alienkind's strategy to increase its annual recurring revenue to $10 million by the end of FY27.
