Amity Raises $100 Million in Series D Funding
Amity, a Thailand-based AI and software company, has successfully raised $100 million in its Series D funding round, which took place on March 25, 2026. The round was led by EDBI, with participation from Asia Partners, SMDV, and CMLIM Capital. This significant capital injection is among the largest investments in generative AI-focused companies in Southeast Asia.
Amity focuses on investing in, acquiring, and growing software companies that are positioned to excel in the era of generative AI. The company is spearheaded by Executive Chairman and Founder, Korawad Chearavanont.
Strategic Expansion and AI Development
With this new funding, Amity plans to accelerate the development of its vertical AI models and agentic AI systems. These technologies are designed to enhance business processes across various industries. The company has also outlined plans to expand its AI Research & Application Center (ARAC) in Singapore, which will serve as a hub for advancing its AI capabilities.
Amity aims to bolster its presence across Southeast Asia and Europe, leveraging the new funds to build regional go-to-market capabilities. Part of the strategy includes pursuing strategic acquisitions throughout 2026 to integrate and commercialize enterprise AI solutions.
Industry-Specific AI Solutions
The funding will also be directed towards developing industry-specific AI solutions, particularly targeting sectors such as retail and telecommunications. This aligns with Amity's approach of "Build, Buy, Bridge," which focuses on advancing AI development through ARAC, expanding via mergers and acquisitions, and integrating capabilities across its portfolio.
Leadership and Vision
Korawad Chearavanont, reflecting on the company's growth trajectory, noted that Amity surpassed $100 million in annualized revenue in 2025, a tenfold increase since 2022. Chearavanont stated, "Our focus remains on developing vertical AI models tailored to specific industries and enhancing our agentic AI systems."
Touchapon Kraisingkorn, Chairman of ARAC and co-founder of Amity, highlighted the importance of industry-specific AI, saying that part of the funding will be dedicated to developing solutions for the retail and telecommunications sectors.
Future Outlook
Looking forward, Amity is targeting an initial public offering in 2027, indicating its ambition to establish a more significant presence in the global AI market. The companyβs strategic use of the Series D funds positions it well to achieve these long-term objectives.
